We transfer the following film formats:

8mm  FILM TRANSFERS

• STANDARD 8mm SILENT FILM   
•  SUPER 8 SILENT & SOUND FILM

8mm film transfers are based on a rate of 16 cents per foot of film transfered if the film is in good running condition and needs no repair or splicing done.  If repairs are needed an estimate will be assessed.  There is a $50.00 minium charge for 8mm and Super 8 films to be transfered to VHS or DVD. We include 3 DVD copies with film transfer orders at no additional charge.

16mm FILM TRANSFERS

• 16mm SILENT FILM

           (16 frames per second speed)

16mm silent film transfers are based on a rate of 16 cents per foot of film transfered if the film is in good running condition and needs no repair or splicing done.  If repairs are needed an estimate will be assessed.  There is a $50.00 minium charge for 16mm silent films to be transfered to VHS or DVD. We include 3 DVD copies with film transfer orders at no additional charge. 

• 16mm SOUND FILM

              (24 frames per second speed)

16mm sound film transfers are based on a rate of 20 cents per foot of film transfered if the film is in good running condition and needs no repair or splicing done.  If repairs are needed an estimate will be assessed.  There is a $50.00 minium charge for 16mm sound films to be transfered to VHS or DVD. We include 3 DVD copies with film transfer orders at no additional charge

ADDITIONAL FILM SERVICES & HANDLING

• Films can be transfered to most video and computer formats at an additional charge. 
• 16mm Movies on Cores
• Prints and Slides
• Films in Cartridges:
  • Some movie films are in self-contained cartridges. We CAN transfer these; however, you will be charged $5.00 for each reel. These reels have to be broken open in order to  transfer them. Your films will be returned back to you without reels with your completed order.

How many feet of film fit on a reel?

A  3"  reel will hold approx.  50' of film

A 3 3/4" reel holds approx. 100' of film

A 4 1/2 " reel holds approx. 200' of film

A 7" reel  holds approx. 400' of film

 We have been working with many historic film archives across the country for over 35 years.  We use special film chain equipment designed with relief film gates that are claw free to accomodate highly sensitive and fragile negative film.
